Mr. Majestic

Posted on April 13, 2014July 3, 2020 by Brian Chee

Mr. Majestic.
The very first thing was the water. A fresh bottle of spring water, placed on a coaster on top of his desk. Then the page of his desk calendar, turned to the correct day, and a neatly folded, virgin newspaper carefully placed on the fine Oak desk top.

Every morning. The same routine.
It was important to him, because he came up selling lawn mowers and garden supply equipment. He had shucked a bunch of trimmers and pruners to get to the point where another person would call him sir…not because they wanted to, but because they had to.

The thought of that made him smile.
